On the one hand, I'm glad my father and three uncles that served in the military during WWII aren't around to see Americans sieg-heiling a U.S. president. Then again, watching that smug face of Richard Spencer as he explains how much "fun" it is to play Nazi, I wish they were. I'd like to see that punk give a Nazi salute in front of one of those guys--or any other WWII vet.
The Germans had so much "fun" under Nazism that most of Spencer's cherished Nazi rituals are illegal in Germany. Countries that have experienced war and the horrors of fascism in their own homeland don't regard tyrannical thugs as heroes. We have been fortunate enough to fight our wars on foreign soil. Are there any survivors of WWII in Europe that look back at the slaughter and destruction caused by the Nazis as "fun"? Would any of these survivors regard military-style weapons as playthings and carry one into a grocery store for "fun"?
And to the Alt-right idiots that like speaking German at their rallies: Do you know what "alt" means in German? It means old--which is exactly what you are. There is nothing new or "alternative" in your pathetic movement. It's just the same old fascist bullying that decent, freedom-loving people have been battling forever.
You can be an American or a Nazi. Make your choice!
