Jesus Christ, I thought Jefferson invented America!
You really have to wonder just what these people's idea of America is. It's becoming a scary thought.

The gov has free health care from the state. What does he care?
These "patriots" all share the same outlook: "If the government gives ME something, it's free enterprise. If it gives YOU something, it's socialism."

Oh boy, where to start? You seem to be mixing Health Care and Health, Health care being insurance usually bought by individuals or groups for their own benefit. Health is the state of our physical being. I was recently walking through the hallway of Providence Hospital and I saw a child laughing he was in a wheel chair with an O2 tank installed on it, a number of tubes dispensing fluids, and I assumed something to remove waste, he had something and at least some freedom to enjoy it. He was one of the bravest people I ever saw, and I have been a fireman all my life. Anyone who wishes can buy health insurance, always could.
The Problem is the monopolistic laws leaving the insurance companies without much competion, look how much auto insurance has decreased in price within Alaska since we are able to buy insurance from the national Companies.
I can't believe you lumped Thomas Jefferson in with this subject, surely the founder of the Democratic party and thus the two party system is more worthy than being lumped in with current events.
I wish I could write as eloquent as he wrote. You should try his letters written to John Adams (both his political opponent and best friend) he was quite disparaging about allowing the Government (you know the one he helped set up) any control of either food or medicine.
And although Tony did a wonderful rendition of "Raindrops on Roses" on one of his Christmas albums nobody can hold a candle to Dean singing "Volare"
